Chekhov's "Three Sisters" brilliantly depicts the lives and aspirations of the Prozorov family as they struggle to contend with the decline of the privileged class in Russia at the turn of the 20th century. A classic of Russian drama, "Three Sisters" is considered one of Chekhov's major works and remains one of his most popular plays.
